FotP Celebrates Thanksgiving~!
|
 |
 |
From our Guild Master Quint, and all the Officers, Erstic, Solaria, Gingersnap and Hitty - we wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving! Gobble gobble gobble. We hope all our members were able to connect with some family, and if grateful enough spend the weekend with family. With the technology today, it doesn't take much effort to make a simple phone call eh? For all our members who do not celebrate Thanksgiving for whatever reason, take a moment out of your busy day and think about all the things we are thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Be safe, and we'll see everyone back online in due time.
OY! Don't get trampled on Black Friday... we have raids to attend.

FotP eats Ulduar Hardmodes for Breakfast
With the focus of 25 man raids making their final preparations to face the Lynch King, Ulduar once again has been forgotton. A once proud stronghold for the Giants who walk the earth, it's amazingly blends in the backgorund. Izarra has taken the personal responsibility to conquer unfinished business. With Champion Izarra at the helm, 9 other heroes from the Fellowship have agreed to donate their blood and sweat to the worthy cause. Izarra and his team begin the preparations necessary for a successful campaign. Days upon days of planning and farming go unnoticed.
With the world feeling the lingering effects of Hallowfest and the Day of the Dead is wrecking havoc upon the campaign, Izarra notices his squire's flag change with the wind. With the blessings of the gods, Izarra decides to call his brave comrades into battle this November 2 to once again invade Ulduar.
The night is calm leading up to the invasion. Whispers of optimism clashes with whispers of doom around camp. Rumours of death and despair spread like the plague. But on November 2, the sun shines bright. Izarra not one to waste his time leads the charge on his shiny mount. Swords were shattered, Shields were lost, but one thing was certain. This day will not end until victory is claimed. Izarra wasted no time, tossing one villian after another.
The guild begins to recieves the news of victorious encounters. Scrolls come flying in; Shutout (10 player), Stokin' the Furnace (10 player), I Choose You, Steelbreaker (10 player), Crazy Cat Lady (10 player).
Then silence.
With the unknown builds tension. Tension begins to install fear. Fear, as everybody knows, leads to the Dark side. News finally reached the guild that the campaigns against the Keepers of ulduar have stalled. The mission has encountered massive failures. Shields have been shattered into peices and banners have been ripped to shred. Izarra witnessing the collaspe of the compaign refused to give up. He rallied his troops for one final ride into glory; It was going to be either victory for the Alliance and the Ping, or a glorious honourable death in Ulduar.
Out of the darkness comes light and news of victory rains down again.
FOR THE ALLIANCE! FOR THE FELLOWSHIP! FOR THE PING!
This moment in history see's Thorim fall from grace, Hodir's cache in our posession, and eradicating Freya and the Elders.
Lose Your Illusion (10 player) Defeat Thorim while Sif is present in 10-player mode.
I Could Say That This Cache Was Rare (10 player) Defeat Hodir before he shatters his rare cache in 10-player mode.
Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood (10 player) Defeat Freya while leaving all 3 Elders alive in 10-player mode.
Izarra only has one message. "...Mimiron. You're next..."

Heroic Style! Trial of the Crusader Pinged! Updated
|
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
UPDATED and finished!!!
From one corner to the next in the World of Warcraft, members of the Fellowship of the Ping are rejoicing in triumph like kings and queens.
Gingersnap, our master tactician, has been at the front of the lines as our raid leader since the turn of the ping. Respected, he continues to take the brute challenges that lay ahead in the Trials of the Crusader, at the proving tournament grounds in northern ice Crown. The stage is set to make our final preparations to invade Ice Crown Citadel to face the Lich King.
After weeks of epic battles, Gingersnap and the raid have been battered and beat to the ground by the likes of the fearsome Northrend Beasts, and the magical Twins Val'kyr. Held together by a fragile pride the end was near. As dark as the nights have come, the heroes of the Fellowship continues to stand tall as the red dawn continues to rise. Even when faced with certain failures, the raid pushes on. When one member falls, there's two to help pick them up. Gingersnap, supported by those around him reminded the raid that the strength of the Fellowship shall never break.
First it was the Northrend Beasts who feels the smite to the face. Then revenge for the quirky Grand Warlock Wilfred Fizzlebang, standing over the body of Lord Jaraxxus. The epic battles with endless heroic stories against the Faction Heroes of the Horde as shields and swords clashed. The wrath was unleashed upon the hateful and powerful Twin Val'kyr.
Anub's finally down! ToC 25 Clear.
to be continued. Spell Interupt by baby. Sorry, that was a long spell interupt by my nephew.
Where were we... Ahh, The games were finished, the raid proven it's strength and valor. The once still night comes rolling clouds of darkness. The bright coliseum becomes dark as the Lynch King brings news of reckoning upon the tournament grounds. Words were spoken and never will be forgotton.
Highlord Tirion Fordring yells: A mighty blow has been dealt to the Lich King! You have proven yourselves able bodied champions of the Argent Crusade. Together we will strike at Icecrown Citadel and destroy what remains of the Scourge! There is no challenge that we cannot face united! The Lich King suddenly appears. The Lich King yells: You will have your challenge, Fordring. Highlord Tirion Fordring yells: Arthas! You are hopelessly outnumbered! Lay down Frostmourne and I will grant you a just death. The Lich King laughs. The Lich King yells: The Nerubians built an empire beneath the frozen wastes of Northrend. An empire that you so foolishly built your structures upon. MY EMPIRE. The Lich King yells: The souls of your fallen champions will be mine, Fordring. The Lich King destroys the floor of the arena, causing the players to fall down into the Icy Depths. Anub'arak yells: Ahhh... Our guests arrived, just as the master promised.
Anub'arak's death in AN was just a setback!!!!
Gingersnap uses his dwarven knowledge to calm the raid after the horrific fall. Quickly he works his his leadership to devise a plan as Anub'arak slowly creeps closer. Hisses echoes so loudly that it resonates off the swords and helms of our fallen heroes (do spiders hiss? I dunnoz... something hissed!). It was Anub'arak who struck first. It was a choatic night of fighting. It was the frozen tomb of the Fellowship in hell.
Victory did not look possible with only certain death before the raid. In the moment of losing the battle, looks up into the skies seeking help from the gods. There he noticed a lonely star, bright as the judgement of light reminded him that the strength of the Fellowship SHALL NEVER BREAK! He rallied the raids to push harder, the tides have turned and victory can be tasted. Anub'arak in panic fell back to his legions of bugs to aid him. Crushed. The legions of skirmishers and nerubian brothers. The distractions gave Anub'arak enough time to call upon his leeching insects to fight off the Fellowship. One hero falls to the leech yet brings vigor into his comrades. With the final blow from the Alliance sword, comes Anub'arak's final resting place.
Highlord Tirion Fordring yells: Champions, you're alive! Not only have you defeated every challenge of the Trial of the Crusader, but thwarted Arthas directly! Your skill and cunning will prove to be a powerful weapon against the Scourge. Well done! Allow one of my mages to transport you back to the surface!

Thugdraft leads Ping to Victory and makes claim to the Sunwell!
|
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
...a year late and 10 levels later...
Powered by the sacred water from the Well of Eternity, the high elves created a mystical power within the Sunwell. Thugdraft in all his wisdom had become obsessed with Sunwell since its corruption with the resurrection of Kel'Thuzad by the hand of the Scourge. Now in the posession of the infamous Kael'thas, the Sunwell is poised to summon the universally feared supreme commander of the Burning Legion Kil'jaeden into Azeroth. Thugdraft, one of the many heroes within the Fellowship of the Ping, could not allow Kil'jaeden to enter the realm of Azeroth and destroy everything he knows as beautiful. Years upon years past with a fight that drew no victory drove Thugdraft close to insanity. The invasion to Northrend in a new battle against the Lich King help mend his heart but left a very bitter taste knowing that Kil'jaeden was on the doorsteps of entering Azeroth. Months have past since the invasion into Northrend, the veteran Thugdraft begins mounting another offensive into the Sunwell. With the support of his army of 15 fellow brothers and sisters in the Fellowship of the Ping, a feirce battle wages on. Blood was shed this day, as members left the raid while others found courage to join in. Leading headstrong, Thugdraft took the battle against the fearsome bosses Kalecgos, Brutallus, Felmyst, Eredar Twins, M'uru, and Kil'jaeden. Felmyst almost broke the strength of the Fellowship and wreak havoc into the hearts of alliance heroes. Felmyst was formerly a blue dragon, Madrigosa, the companion of Kalecgos, killed by Brutallus and resurrected by his blood into a fel skeletal dragon. Thugdraft and his heroes searched deep within their souls and found the will power to push through the night of chaos. Now into unknown grounds, Thugdraft feared not and pushed on. After making quick work of the Eredar Twins (after waiting for a certain priest to make their way into the battle, thanks Thug!), the raid faced another formidable foe who came close to breaking the spirits from within, M'uru a darkened naaru. Battles of sword crashing into shields earned many horrific deaths only to find redemption to fight another day. Disturbed, Thugdraft curses the gods of war unable to make sense of the battle. The raid, making a few adjustments escapes death and rides onto victory towards Kil'jaeden.
The final battle pits Thugdraft and his heroes against a half summoned Kil'jaeden late into the night. His army tired of the compaign, dug deep for the long hall. Fighting through the challenges Kil'jaeden led to a battle only to be called attrition. With one ESPN Turning Point shield that saved the raid from certain doom, Kurdran the warlock who goes Boom Boom Boom, brings delivered the final blow and brought the boss down to his knee's. Kil'jaeden so weakened from battle cannot fight off the vaccuum of darkness is banished back into the twisting nether!
Congratulations. Thugdraft and the Fellowship of the Ping owns the Sunwell!
Screenshots to come! Riuk, the superstar did make an appearance... but left because of a pug... or church.. can't remember. -hitty
